MARDI GRAS ON
THE GULF COAST |

We will be broadcasting the Diberville and Biloxi Parades

As we all
know our wonderful Gulf Coast suffered heavy
devastation this past Hurricane season, some old
parade routes aren't open yet, and some
traditional night parades will not be held for
public safety reasons. Many krewes wont
be having their traditional balls, some parades have
waived or decreased the fees for entry to help
everyone who can enjoy and participate in the Mardi
Gras Spirit of 2006, the krewes who can't be there
will be sadly missed, but you will be remembered in
spirit. This is a tradition we will not let go, we
will simply modify what needs to be done to allow
our good spirited coastal people to take a day and
remember Fat Tuesday ! With all the newcomers
here in the rebuilding process we will have a great
opportunity to introduce them all to
Mardi Gras Gulf Coast Style. Parade Schedules and
routes are below.

Mardi Gras
started a very long, long, long time ago in different places
and it was based on religious traditions. Mardi Gras,
rich with history and tradition, remains a thriving force on
the Gulf Coast and each year welcomes new guest to enjoy our
festivals and parades.
Mardi Gras is
commonly known for excessive everything, excessive beads,
excessive eating, excessive parties, and yes excessive
drinking which normally leads to excessive everything else
normal people would not do every day.
Mardi Gras is a
time to come together, enjoy, and indulge, it is a time to
go a little crazy and step out of the box. It's all good fun
at Mardi Gras, some parades are family oriented while others
are wild exciting and definitely adult oriented.
Almost every
single city along the Gulf Coast celebrates Mardi Gras, From
Alabama along the Mississippi Coast, and into the best known
location of New Orleans.
Mardi Gras is an
entire Season with King Cakes, beads, elaborate Balls, royal
courts, and parades, all ending on Fat Tuesday, the day
before ash Wednesday.
