Remembering Katrina August 29, 2006

The devastation and suffering is still evident, many people are just now beginning to recover, as our Gulf Coast continues to re-build we would like to thank the millions of volunteers. We could not have come this far without you. On the Mississippi Gulf Coast we didn't have any levees break, our disaster was not man made.  Katrina completely obliterated several of our cities and heavily damaged most of our coastal communities.
Today on the 1 Year anniversary of Katrina
We received an email and 2 photos from a MS Gulf Coast Resident Phil McCarty. He was in the Cedar Lake Subdivision several miles from the back bay and the front beach. Located near the Tchoutacabouff River. His email states he spent most of Hurricane Katrina outside, helping rescue people. Everyone had to be on their roofs. To Phil, and the residents of Cedar Lake we hope only the best for you and would like to recognize each of you as hero's.
